Christmas morning at in2Action was filled with goodwill, jokes, and tasty treats. Approximately 25 residents, staff and their family members met at our Shiloh house to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We started the morning with prayer, some delicious sausage balls, and citrus cakes. All these tasty treats were handcrafted by Doreen, our volunteer coordinator, billing specialist, and life coach. After a bit of reflection on the Christmas season, Dan started the ‘rob your neighbor’ game by handing out random numbers to each resident. The numbers determined the order of gift selection. Each resident would pick a gift, open it, and hope…. really hope no one lower in the pecking order would rob them.

The game went pretty smooth with only a handful of ‘robberies’ until the last pick. Two residents decided to rob each other. One ended up with a $20 gift card and shaving kit while the other hit the jackpot finding a hidden $100 gift card on his gift box! The gifts were generously provided by local Rotarians who attended the party and had as much, if not more fun, watching the game unfold. In2Action is grateful for the IMPACT Rotary Club’s generosity and compassion-qualities of Christ we all strive to emulate.
